___ONLY TWO WEEKS before the arrival of a medical team from the Abilene area at Bangalore Baptist Hospital in India, one of the hospital chaplains was attacked by a gang of Hindu men as he made a hospice visit to a Christian in a tribal village outside Bangalore. The day the team arrived, headlines screamed the news of an Australian missionary and his sons burned to death by Hindu extremists. But the West Texans ministered without incident. "Hundreds of people back home were praying for our safety," said Bob Hawley, a deacon at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene. ___
