___bluebull Round Rock home names Nagle. Longtime staff member Debbie Nagle has been named campus administrator for Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock. She succeeds Jeff Maners, who has taken a position with Buckner Benevolences in Dallas. Nagle has served 14 years in the Round Rock home's single-parent family care program. She holds a master's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She is a licensed child care administrator, a licensed professional counselor and a certified social work associate.

___bluebull Historical Society to meet. The 1999 annual meeting of the Texas Baptist Historical Society will be Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of El Paso.The brunch meeting will include election of officers, recognition of history award winners and a presentation by Ruth Pitts, professor at McClennan Community College, on remembrances of her father, James Landes. The meeting is open to all interested in Texas Baptist history. Tickets are $8 at the door and may be reserved by calling (214) 887-5422 or e-mailing tbhc@bgct.org.

___bluebull Baylor campus mourns loss. Students, faculty and staff at Baylor University last week mourned the loss of four students in a freak roadside accident Oct. 10. Erika Michele Lanham, Emily Hollister, Tricia Lynn Calp and Dolan Walter "Tripp" Wostal were killed when a driver fell asleep at the wheel and ran over them as they walked along a country roadside to a party. "Even though Baylor is a campus of over 13,000 students, the entire university community grieves when we experience a loss of life," said President Robert Sloan. "Each and every student is precious to us, and to lose four at one time is an unspeakable tragedy." This was the worst single incident for loss of student lives at Baylor since 1927, when 10 members of the men's basketball team were killed in a bus wreck.
