___bluebull Oak Grove Church in Nacogdoches will be the site of the East Texas Conference on Revival with Jack Taylor and Peter Lord. The conference will be held Nov. 7-10 at 7 p.m. each night, and a bring-your-lunch Bible study will be held at noon each day. Jim

TAYLOR HENLEY, president of Missions Our Mission, was honored recently. Henley has led more than 500 volunteers from 28 states and 45 churches in partnership missions in the Ukraine during 34 trips in eight years. Those volunteers saw 66,000 recorded professions of faith, 500,000 Bibles and New Testaments distributed, 36 churches started and $1 million of medical equipment taken in. ___bluebull David Sweet has celebrated his 10th anniversary as pastor of Hays Hills Church in Buda.
___bluebull Stadium Drive Church in Fort Worth will celebrate its 50th anniversary Nov. 6-7. A reservation-required banquet will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. Former and present pastors and staff will share memories at that time, with former pastor David Edwards and former staff member Dale Pogue leading the way. Former pastor Bob Carroll will preach in the Sunday morning service, and Rick Wadley will lead the music. Steve Armstrong is pastor.
___bluebull Bethel Church in Graham will celebrate its 50th anniversary Nov. 6-7. A fellowship will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday. Hershell Reed will be the guest speaker for the Sunday morning service. ___bluebull Brashear Church in Brashear will celebrate its 100th anniversary Nov. 6-7. Beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, the church will hold a reception including music, testimonies, photographs and other articles from the church's history. Sunday, Charles Etheridge will be the guest preacher. Other former pastors who will take part in the weekend include David Burns, Joe Smith, J.C. Smithers and Jimmy Tarrant. Mike Wilson is pastor.

___Retiring
___bluebull Alvis Bell retired Sept. 1 after 18 years as pastor of First Church in Needville and 52 years in the ministry. The church elected to give Bell and his wife, Evelyn, the parsonage. Other churches where Bell was pastor include Turnersville Church in Turnersville, Mullin Church in Mullin, First Church in Bellville and Quail Valley Church in Missouri City.

___Deaths
___bluebull Daniel Sharpley, 81, Oct. 10 in Carrollton. Sharpley, an emeritus missionary to Brazil, was executive secretary of the Rio Grand do Sul Baptist Convention there for 15 years. Prior to his service in Brazil, he was pastor of Emhouse Church in Corsicana and First Church in Liberty. He is survived by his wife, Doris; three sons, Daniel, William and Robert; two daughters, Deanna and Lucia; and three granddaughters.
