Annuity Board
taps Gonzales
___DALLAS--Michael Gonzales has joined the church marketing staff of the Southern Baptist Convention's Annuity Board as area director with Hispanics.
___Gonzales bring to the position almost 30 years of ministry experience, most recently serving as ethnic consultant in the evangelism division of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
___Gonzales will serve as liaison between the Annuity Board and Hispanic ministers, employees, churches and related organizations within the SBC. He also will promote the board's retirement, insurance and financial support planning services and products to all churches in the California, New England and Hawaii Baptist Conventions.

___Gonzales' efforts will build on the ethnic work begun by Elias Pantoja, who died in an automobile accident in last April.
___"I have known, loved and respected Mike Gonzales for many years. Hawkins. "His servant's heart and commitment to excellence will have a positive impact on all our work here."
___Gonzales is a graduate of Howard Payne University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served 15 years as a missionary to Spain, on the editorial staff of La Vision Bautista and as pastor in several churches across Texas.
