West Texas church not only has
a vision; they're really seeing double

___LAMESA--Visitors to the preschool area at First Baptist Church in Lamesa might think they're having a spell of double vision. The trouble is not with their eyes, although some people have not ruled out the water.
___The church of about 500 in average attendance has seven sets of twins who are regular in attendance.
___Five of those sets of twins are in the preschool division, one in the youth group and one pair of adult sisters who teach in the preschool division.
___Several other adult twins are members of the church but attend without their siblings.
___"Nobody really has an explanation for it, but we're afraid it might be something in the water," Preschool Director Melody Young said. "We think it's kind of neat."
___The number of twins doesn't add any additional chaos to the children's area, though.
___"We have a little plan for the babies, Laura and Hannah. One of their eyes is just a tiny bit larger than the other, so we use that to tell them apart. But the rest of them we don't have a real problem with," Young said.
___The church held a special day in November to honor their twins. Each set of twins was presented with a framed photograph of the six sets of twins and their parents who were available that Sunday .
___"It's just been really fun," Young said. "We feel like we've been doubly blessed."
