Could you be a foster parent?
___Here are the basic criteria potential foster parents must meet with Buckner Foster Care:
___bluebull You must be 21 years or older.
___bluebull You may be married, single, divorced or widowed.
___bluebull You must consent to a criminal background check and be financially self-sustaining, not relying on government or foster-care reimbursement support.
___bluebull You must attend required training, participate in home study interviews and assessments and provide adequate sleeping space for children.
___bluebull You must be active in a Christian church and exhibit "moral standards and ethics in line with the Christian faith."
___In return for opening their homes and hearts, foster parents receive assistance from their supporting agencies. This includes a daily reimbursement for expenses incurred by having a child in your home. Medicaid meets medical and dental needs. Buckner also offers therapy services, encouragement, guidance and 24-hour on-call support.
