Chaplaincy training planned ___"Hands On Ministry," a training course for volunteer chaplains, will be offered at multiple locations throughout the state beginning in February. ___Weekly classes are scheduled on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m., Feb. 2 to May 4, at Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville, and from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Feb. 9 to May 11, at Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Abilene. ___Classes are slated on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 6-27 and April 17 and 24 at the Fort Worth Sheriff's Department. ___In addition to the 30-hour core curriculum, each set of classes in Gatesville, Abilene and Fort Worth also includes 12 hours of specialized training in adult restorative justice ministry. ___Classes will be offered beginning April 18 at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment in Central Texas and beginning Oct. 24 at Plains Baptist Assembly, near Lubbock.
