___ Wayland reaffirmed. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has reaffirmed the accreditation of Wayland Baptist University, completing a process conducted every 10 years.
___ DBU hosts prospective students. High school juniors and seniors are invited to Patriot Weekend at Dallas Baptist University Jan. 29-30. The weekend overview is designed to give prospective students and their parents information about financial aid, admissions, residence life and academic programs. ___ Houston writer honored. Zadabeth Uland, a preschool curriculum writer from Houston, received this year's Elsie Rives Award from LifeWay Christian Resources. The former minister of childhood education at First Baptist Church of Plano is a frequent LifeWay writer.
___ How to help. A story in the Dec. 16 issue of the Baptist Standard told about the plight of Carol Felts, who is hospitalized at Medical City in Dallas after a heart transplant. The National Transplant Assistance Fund, a non-profit organization, is coordinating contributions to help the Felts family.
