Around the State
___Central Texas area and its four associations (Bi-Stone, Corsicana, Hill and Leon) have given $1,000 to assist in starting new churches in Texas as a memorial to Susan Louder-back, daughter of Bill and Nina Roe. After retiring as director of missions in Johnson County, Roe and his wife have spent the last 22 months as new work promoters in the Central Texas area.

___ T.H. Morrison, 82, Feb. 1 in El Dorado, Ark. He was a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and former member of First Church in Harlingen. He was president of Valley Baptist Medical Center there and past president of the Texas Hospital Association. Two daughters; one brother; and one granddaughter survive him.

___ First Church in Center will hold a ladies' meeting called the "Joyseekers Conference" Feb. 19-20. Gaye Ogletree will speak on a balanced life.
