___ Search committee address. The executive director search committee of the Baptist General Convention of Texas may be addressed at P.O. Box 30131, Amarillo 79120. Committee Chairman Bill Brian said the group plans its first meeting March 26. He asks for prayer for the group, the process and the candidate they are to find.

___ Liebrum to head human resources. Chris Liebrum has been named director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas office of human resources. His primary responsibility will be personnel administration for about 350 BGCT Executive Board staff. Liebrum has been youth consultant in the BGCT Sunday school/discipleship division since 1984. He will continue responsibilities as state project director for YouthLink 2000.

___ Volunteers needed. The Texas Department of Human Services needs additional volunteers to help clients with Food Stamps, Medicaid and temporary assistance claims. ___ Bailey to speak at HSU. Raymond Bailey, pastor of Seventh and James Baptist Church in Waco, will be keynote speaker for the Thompson Preaching Conference at Hardin-Simmons University's Logsdon School of Theology March 25. The theme is "Preaching in a Wired World: Communicating the Gospel in the New Millennium." The day-long conference is free, but registration is requested by calling (800) 996-6348.

___ Ministers' Wives Retreat coming. The Texas Ministers' Wives Retreat is scheduled for April 23-24 at Mt. Lebanon Encampment south of Dallas. Keynote speaker will be Bobbie Pinson, wife of Baptist General Convention of Texas Executive Director Bill Pinson. A $50 registration fee covers lodging, three meals and program expenses. ___ Managers honored. Three managers of LifeWay Christian Stores in Texas were among finalists for the 1998 Manager of the Year award: Royce Dodd of Arlington, Paul Herman of Tyler and Dennis Woods of Houston.
