Ten Texans appointed by IMB
___RICHMOND, Va.--Ten Texans were appointed to overseas missionary service by the Southern Baptist Convention's International Mission Board during a May 25 service in Fredericksburg, Va.:
___ George "Trey" Atkins III and Elise Fortner Atkins, who will live in Bosnia. They

___Since 1994 he has been pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Headingley, Manitoba, Canada. Born in Abilene, he is the son of George and Yvonne Atkins of Weatherford, Okla. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
___Born in Monroe, La., Elise Atkins is the daughter of Kenley and Ann Fortner of Austin. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
___ Timothy Bissell and Elise Ellerbrock Bissell, who will live in Russia. They will start and develop churches.
___Since 1985 he has been pastor of French Road Baptist Church in Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Born in Fort Worth, he is the son of Jackie Hutcheson of that city and the late Howard Bissell. He considers French Road Baptist Church in Fort Worth his home church. Spring Valley Baptist Church in Dallas also was influential in his Christian growth. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station and Southwestern Seminary. He previously was a programmer/analyst for Texas Instruments in Dallas.
___ Born in Houston, Elise Bissell is the daughter of Bill and Fran Ellerbrock of Manvel. While growing up she also lived in Alvin and considers it her hometown. She considers French Road Baptist her home church. Spring Valley Baptist Church also was influential in her Christian growth. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She was an employment specialist for John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and a church planter apprentice with her husband in Cheektowaga.
___ Ed Hall and Shana Spannagel Hall, who will serve in Northern Africa and the Middle East. He will work as a business manager and she will be involved in a variety of ministries.
___Recently the couple served in Gaza through the IMB's International Service Corps option for short-term assignments.
___Born in Dallas, Ed Hall is the son of Clyde and Mildred Hall of Nashville, Tenn. His father is senior manager of the youth section in the discipleship and family group at Lifeway Christian Resources. He considers Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth and

Bluff Dale Baptist Church in Bluff Dale as influential in his Christian growth. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Southwestern Seminary. He previously was youth minister for Bluff Dale Baptist Church.
___Born in Grand Prairie, Shana Hall is the daughter of Roy and Weida Spannagel of Anchorage, Alaska. Her father is director of evangelism and church growth with the Alaska Baptist Convention. She is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and previously was a social worker for Integrated Health Services in Benbrook and Granbury.

with the Baptist Spanish Publishing House in El Paso. They will work in literature distribution and promotion and be responsible for the book deposit, "Casa Bautista/Miami," covering Florida, the Caribbean and the East Coast of the United States.
___He was reappointed as a missionary, having served from 1992 to 1997 in Panama. Since 1998, the Morrises have been serving in Florida through the IMB's International Service Corps, working with the Baptist Spanish Publishing House.
___Born in Waco, he is the son of Harry and Dannie Morris of Mount Vernon, Wash. He considers Bronte his hometown and First Baptist Church there his home church. South Main Baptist Church in Houston also was influential in his Christian growth. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Seminary.
___ Born in Colon, Panama, Mixy Morris is the daughter of Gumercindo and Luisa Moreno of La Chorrera, Panama.
