A TEXAS BAPTIST, currently serving as an International Service Corps missionary with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in Peje, Kosovo, visits Isa Gashi, who survived a massacre during the Kosovo conflict. He and other IMB missionaries are using humanitarian aid such as clothes and food distribution as opportunities for evangelism and church starting. "Working in this war-torn environment is difficult and takes a toll on those of us doing ministry here." he said. "There is no quick soft-pedaling of the gospel here. God's entire word must be allowed to penetrate hearts slowly and deal with everyone's own personal pain and grief." (IMB photo by Grace Robinette)
