UMHB offers new master's
___BELTON--The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has begun a new master's degree program in theological studies.
___The new program is designed to provide graduate theological education for individuals engaged in Christian ministry and for those who seek a graduate theological degree that will prepare them for a lifetime of theological inquiry, said religion department Chairman Stephen Von Wyrick.
___The master of theological studies degree normally requires two academic years of full-time study. Applicants admitted with prior extensive undergraduate studies in religion may complete the program with one year of full-time coursework, in addition to the comprehensive exam. Students enrolled less than full-time will take more than the two years to complete the requirements.
___Applicants must hold an accredited baccalaureate degree and be endorsed by their home church.
___Coursework will be drawn from a combination of the three areas of concentration--Scripture and culture, Christian tradition and culture, and Christian ministry and culture.
___For information, call the university at (254) 295-8642.
