Faith freedom eludes most of world's people
___WASHINGTON (RNS) --About 75 percent of the world's population is subjected to restrictions and violations of their religious freedom, according to a survey by the Freedom House's Center for Religious Freedom.
___Thirty-six percent of people live in countries in which religious liberties are "fundamentally violated," while 39 percent practice their faith under constraints, declared the global survey.

Graham: 'As long as God gives me breath, I'll preach'

___JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Bringing the last of his year's crusades to a close Nov. 5, ailing evangelist Billy Graham made it clear he wasn't ready to end his more than 50-year history of evangelism gatherings around the country.
___"I want to tell you this: As long as God gives me breath, I'm going to continue to preach," he said, drawing cheers and applause from 65,000 people in Alltel Stadium for the last session of the four-day crusade.

Prominent Waco church breaks ties with Southern Baptist Convention

___WACO--Seventh & James Baptist Church in Waco has voted to "declare that we are not related to the Southern Baptist Convention."
___The vote, approved 105-2 during a recent church conference, actually was "positive in nature," Pastor Raymond Bailey said. The church expressed its strong identification with four other Baptist groups--Waco Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Baptist World Alliance.
