Texas Baptist Men hear of opportunities

___CORPUS CHRISTI--Texas Baptist Men's Executive Board members learned Oct. 30 of educational opportunities to strengthen their missions and ministry efforts.
___Executive Director Jim Furgerson shared details of Texas Baptist Men University 2001, which he said will provide "an opportunity to equip men and leaders to return to their local churches ... to lead men and their families into a lifestyle of missions and ministry that fulfills the Great Commission."

March 9-10, South Texas, Zephyr Baptist Encampment, Sandia.

March 30-31, Central Texas, Latham Springs Baptist Encampment, Aquilla.
___
April 6-7, North Texas, Chaparral Baptist Encampment, Iowa Park.

April 20-21, Gulf Coast, Texas Baptist Encampment, Palacios.
___
April 27-28, Northwest Texas, Plains Baptist Assembly, Floydada.
___
May 11-12, East Texas, Pineywoods Baptist Encampment, Woodlake.
___Training courses will be offered for Royal Ambassadors and children's missions, Challengers and youth missions, men's ministries, spiritual development and prayer, restorative justice ministries, directors of missions, pastors and church staff.

Honored James and Jane Latham of Kilgore with a plaque of appreciation for their efforts in Hurricane Mitch recovery while serving as International Service Corps volunteers with the International Mission Board. They are members of Forest Home Baptist Church of Kilgore.
