Texas WMU fund honors Fenner ___Woman's Missionary Union of Texas is accepting contributions to a missions project fund for women, set up to honor longtime leader Joy Fenner. ___The Joy Fenner Missions Project Fund was established in recognition of Fenner's two decades of service to Texas WMU. Fenner retires Feb. 28 as executive director-treasurer of Texas WMU. ___A Texas Baptist woman gave the initial $5,000 to set up the fund, designed to provide supplemental financial help for women involved in short-term, hands-on missions projects. ___The fund is a part of the World Touch endowment, established by Texas WMU with the Baptist Foundation of Texas. ___Texas WMU leaders are making a concerted effort to gather contributions to the fund in the next three months. They hope to announce the total amount at a Feb. 27 retirement dinner for Fenner, according to Mary Humphries, chairwoman of the retirement events committee and former president of Texas WMU. ___Checks should be designated "Joy Fenner Missions Project Fund," made payable to WMU of Texas, and sent to 333 N. Washington, Dallas 75246-1798.
