Camp & Daehnert give interim leadership ___Ken Camp and Jan Daehnert have been named interim directors of work units at the Baptist General Convention of Texas. ___Camp, 39, is interim director of the office of communications following the Dec. 31 retirement of Tom Brannon, who led the office 19 years. ___Daehnert, 58, is acting coordinator of the office of minister/church relations since coordinator Dick Maples was named BGCT associate executive director Jan. 1. ___Camp will continue to be coordinator of news and information, a position he has held four years. He has been with the BGCT for more than 15 years. He is a native of Greenville and a graduate of East Texas State University in Commerce. He received a master of arts in communications from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in 1984. ___A regular contributor to the Baptist Standard, he has won numerous awards, including the Frank Burkhalter Award for exceptional achievement in news writing from Baptist Communicators Association. ___Daehnert has been associate coordinator of minister/church relations since April 1999. Previously, he was director of the bivocational/smaller church development department. ___Daehnert joined the BGCT in 1967 as a director of student ministries at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Later, he served at the University of North Texas. From 1975 to 1983, he was associate director of student ministries and from 1983 to 1993 was director of personnel administration. ___He served two years, 1994-1995, with Drug Prevention Resources in Irving. He has been a pastor and has served as interim pastor or consultant for 23 Texas churches. ___He is a graduate of Howard Payne University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is expected to receive a doctor of ministries degree this year. In addition, he has received training in human resources development, the intentional interim ministry program, and mediation. ___
