RUTH GRAHAM MCINTYRE, daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, was the keynote speaker for the Houston Baptist University President's Advisers Guild's Christmas party and 25th anniversary celebration. The guild supports graduate teacher education at HBU, and profits from the luncheon were added to its scholarship fund. ___ Heath German of Tyler was among the December graduates of Southwestern Seminary, receiving the master of arts in Christian education degree.

___ First Church in Devers will be the site of a gospel music showcase Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. Groups featured during the evening will include Kings Voices, Voices of Praise, the Crystal River Quartet and The McDaniels. Harry McDaniel is pastor.

___ North Creek Church in Centerville will celebrate its 15th anniversary Jan. 30. Guest speakers are James Reid at 11 a.m. and Wayne McNeill at 2 p.m. A time of fellowship will follow the morning service. Richard Ray is pastor.
___Retiring
___ Joe Dan Franklin retired as pastor of Anderson Church in Anderson Jan. 2. He was called to preach in 1953 and served churches in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He also served as a Southern Baptist Air Force chaplain in Vietnam.
