Kerrville church starts 3rd mission
___KERRVILLE--Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville has started, Heart of the Hills Fellowship there, its third mission church in five years Jan. 2.
___Sunrise itself started as a mission of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville in December 1994.
___Phil Tilden was the pastor the first Sunday, as seven people gathered for worship. Sunrise organized its own mission one month later.
___Since its first service, the church has given 10 percent to the Cooperative Program and 5 percent to associational missions.
___Tilden has led Sunrise from that rented tin building to the purchase of three buildings, two of them paid for. Sunday morning attendance averages 120.
