___bluebull Ritter to editorial committee. Hal Ritter, assistant director of pastoral care at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, has been named to the editorial committee of the Journal for Pastoral Care.

___bluebull Big On Mission Celebration planned. The first On Mission Celebration of 2000 will be the largest ever hosted by a single association in Texas, according to Don Gibson, associate executive director of Texas Baptist Men. Tryon-Evergreen Baptist Association will sponsor the weekend celebration, formerly known as a World Missions Conference, at four sites Feb. 26-27. Of the 110 churches and missions in the association, 86 are participating in the rallies. About 90 missionaries will participate in the four events.
___bluebull Goodwill Games volunteers needed. Adirondack Baptist Association has asked Texas Baptist Men to provide mission volunteers for the Winter Goodwill Games in Lake Placid, N.Y. James Goforth, former Texas Baptist pastor and current director of missions for the upstate New York association, has requested up to 250 volunteers to serve Feb. 14-22. Cost is $550 per person, which includes transportation, basic living expenses and a uniform. Lodging for volunteers will be in the homes of area church members or in church facilities. ___bluebull Klempnauer to lead educators. Lawrence Klempnauer, a longtime member of the Southern Baptist Religious Education Association, will be nominated as the organization's next executive director during the annual meeting March 30-April 1. If elected, Klempnauer would continue in his position as vice president for student services at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
