Faith works in shattered glass
___FORT WORTH--Life looks different when viewed through a "squeaky clean windshield" than when seen through shattered glass. But faith enables believers to see the light of Christ even through fractured circumstances of life, according to Wanda Bolton-Davis.
___As a social worker with Hope Cottage's pregnancy and adoption services in Grand evanglogosmPrairie, she recently offered insights on how faith works through such "shattered glass" experiences as divorce, death and financial disaster:
___bluebull Praise. A Christian should "count it all joy" in every circumstance of life, she said. "Invite God into the situation. Praise God in spite of the situation. ... God will give us insight into the situation."
___bluebull Prepare. "You will have storms," she said. The question is "when," not "if."
___A Christian can prepare for the rough times by studying God's word, submitting to God's authority and planning ahead in developing a strategy to fight the devil, Bolton-Davis said.
___bluebull Power. God's intention in the life of a trouble-plagued believer is to teach patience, perfect character and bring peace, she said. God can only do that when a Christian is willing to "plug into the power source," she said.
