___bluebull DBU presents "Sound of Music." Dallas Baptist University's fine arts program will present "The Sound of Music" March 24-25 at the Majestic Theater in downtown Dallas. Show times are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day. For ticket information, call (214) 333-5285.
___bluebull Hillcrest names Bailey. Bill Bailey II has been named senior vice president for development and chief development officer for Hillcrest Health System. He has held similar positions at Hardin-Simmons University, McMurry University and the American Cancer Society.
___bluebull Enrollment up at DBU. Spring enrollment at Dallas Baptist University set a new record, at 3,733, according to university officials. That's a 2.9 percent increase over last spring. The university's enrollment has doubled in the last 12 years.
___bluebull Adoption session set. Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services will offer a domestic adoption orientation Feb. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 4830 Samuell Blvd. in Dallas. Christian couples who have been married at least one year and are interested in domestic adoption may request a reservation form by calling Pat Wilson at (214) 381-1552 or e-mailing her at pwilson@buckner.org. There is a material fee of $50 per couple.
___bluebull Professor to speak on WMU. Carol Holcomb, professor of religion at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, will speak on "The Kingdom at Hand: The Influence of the Social Gospel on the Personal Service Department of the Woman's Missionary Union, SBC" March 4 at the Southwest Commission on Religious Studies meeting in Dallas. Holcomb also serves as vice president of the Texas Baptist Historical Society.
