Joy Fenner announces retirement from helm of Texas WMU

___CEDAR HILL--Joy Fenner has announced plans to retire as executive director-treasurer of Texas Woman's Missionary Union Feb. 28, 2001.
___Fenner made the announcement to members of the Texas WMU executive board during their March 22-23 meeting at Mount Lebanon Baptist Encampment.
___Also during that meeting, the executive board approved personnel committee recommendations regarding consultants specializing in language WMU work and in ministries, Women on Mission and Adults on Mission.

Six baptisms were set, but final total was 10

___ARLINGTON--Six people were scheduled to be baptized at Impact Fellowship in Arlington March 12. But before the morning worship service concluded, a total of 10 had been symbolically raised to new life from the water.
___It was the maiden voyage for the church's new portable baptistry--built from the shell of a home shower stall bought at Home Depot the weekend before.

New center for Baptist prison ministry going up in Rusk

___RUSK--Just outside the gates of the Texas Department of Corrections' Skyview-Hodge Unit, members of Texas Baptist Men Builders, who have constructed new facilities for more than 400 needy churches since 1979, are erecting the Skyview-Hodge Family Center with assistance from area volunteers.
