South Park Church in Beaumont commemorated the 40th anniversary of the dedication of its sanctuary March 26. Former Pastor Joe Harbor was the guest speaker. James Blackwell is pastor.
___ First Church in Louise will celebrate its 100th anniversary April 9. Coastal Plains Area Director of Missions Harold Sellers will speak, as will former area missionary Orville Roberts. A noon meal will follow, and a 2 p.m. testimonial service will be held. Darrell Tomasek is pastor.
___ Homer Peden will be honored April 9 at First Church in Alvarado with a reception in honor of his 50 years in pastoral ministry. He will preach in the morning service, and the reception for the church's pastor emeritus will begin at 2 p.m.
___ Hopewell Church in Winters will celebrate its 100th anniversary April 9. The guest speaker for the morning service will be former Pastor James McGlothlin, current pastor of Lakeside Church in Dallas. A catered lunch will follow. ___ Park Cities Church in Dallas is one of the churches that will sponsor an interdenominational single adult workshop April 7-8. The weekend will begin on Friday at the Hyatt Hotel at Reunion Tower in Dallas with worship and celebration. David Edwards will speak. The program will begin at 8 p.m., and a coffeehouse fellowship will follow. The workshop will begin at the hotel again the next morning at 8:30 a.m. An outdoor concert will be held that evening in Deep Ellum. For registration information, call (214) 860-1565. ___ University Park Church in San Antonio will hold a homecoming in recognition of the church's 52 years of service to the community April 9. A former pastor and former members will participate in the morning service. A luncheon will follow. For more information, call (210) 433-3203.
