North American Mission Board taps 7 for service
___The North American Mission Board has appointed three couples and one individual with ties to Texas to serve in positions across the nation.
___Kevin and Michal Giddings will be church planter missionaries in Franklin City, Pa. He will be mission pastor of Venango Woods Church. A Texas native, he has been associate pastor of Birdville Baptist Church in Haltom City since 1997. He previously worked as a teacher/counselor for North Lake College in Irving for four years. She has been a special education teacher in Irving. They have a 4-year-old son, Ryan.
___Timothy Hutson will be a church planter in Marquette, Mich. He will continue to serve as mission pastor of Upper Peninsula Baptist Church, where he has served on a bivocational basis since August 1999. A Fort Worth native and Baylor University graduate, he has also been a Sunday School teacher, Royal Ambassador worker and apartment ministry worker/leader.
___Richard and Rhonda Johnstone will serve as associational missionaries in Fresno, Calif. He will be director of missions for Mid Valley Baptist Association, which includes 53 churches and missions in the Fresno area. Both of the Johnstones' are graduates of East Texas Baptist College, and she is a Texas native. They have three children--Ethan, 13; Eryn, 12; and Tessa, 10.
___Bradley and Kristen Riapolov will serve as church planting missionaries in Phoenix, Ariz. He will be mission pastor of Valley of the Sun Fellowship. He was born and raised in the Ukraine but now considers Texas his home state. A graduate of Southwestern Adventist College in Keene and Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, he had served as an intern at Discovery Church in Fort Worth. Mrs. Riapolov is a native Texan and has been employed as a registered nurse since 1992.
