___Seven people with Texas ties were among 45 International Mission Board appointees May 21 in Norfolk, Va.

___Daniel and Teresa Allen will be church planters among German immigrants in Brazil. Many Germans immigrated to Brazil after World War II. He will seek to lead these people to faith in Christ through discipleship and church involvement, while she will open their home for Bible study and work in the local church.
___He has served as assistant pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler since 1998. Born in Dallas, he is the son of Johnny and Hildegard Blakney of Cedar Hill, and the late Duel Allen. Mrs. Allen was born in Odessa and is the daughter of Stan and Marge Pulley of Georgetown, and the late Joann Pulley. They have two children, Joseph and John Paul.

___Mandy Dimperio will use her media skills in La Paz, Bolivia. She will work closely with all the evangelism teams in Bolivia, using media to help start a church-planting movement. She currently works in the media services department of Southwestern Seminary. She attends Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
___She previously served as a IMB journeyman to Mexico City.

___Jimmy and Kay Maroney will serve in the Central and Eastern Europe regional office in Prague, Czech Republic. He will serve as a missionary training coordinator for the region, and she will work as the administrative assistant to the regional leader. The Maroneys served as the first married IMB journeymen missionaries in 1967 when they served in Ghana. They were appointed career missionaries in 1970 and served in Ghana, Ethiopia and Kenya

theRichmond office. They say First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls was instrumental in their spiritual growth. The native Texans have two grown sons.
___Tom and Marti Pieper will work to evangelize the Mestizos people of Mexico City. The Piepers consider Birchman Baptist Church in Fort Worth as influential in their spiritual growth.
___The IMB has 4,800 missionaries working in 163 countries and 336 people groups.
