___bluebull The Baptist Student Union at the United States Air Force Academy would like to contact the men and women reporting to the school June 28 and 29. A member of the student union will meet cadets arriving June 28 at the airport, provide free lodging and meals and take them to the academy June 29. The academy bus will meet cadets arriving June 29, but the student union would like to contact them following their arrival on campus. DEBBIE KEY, center, was commissioned to Mission Service Corps during a special service at First Church in Olney. She will serve as a restorative justice ministry field consultant with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. She was presented a certificate of commissioning by Jim Young, coordinator of restorative justice ministries, and Phyllis Jennings, MSC consultant in Wichita Falls.

___bluebull Jim Clayman has celebrated 20 years as minister of music at First Church in Georgetown.
___bluebull Rock Prairie Church in College Station will celebrate its 100th anniversary June 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include music and fellowship, a lunch and a century of memorabilia. For more information, call (979) 690-8412. Johnny Sloan is pastor.
___bluebull Lester Cooper will celebrate 50 years as a Southern Baptist pastor June 11. He began his ministry while a student at East Texas Baptist College and later graduated from Southwestern Seminary. He was pastor of Texas churches from 1950 to 1959. He presently serves as pastor of a Georgia congregation.
___bluebull Larry Davis will observe his 10th anniversary as pastor of South Garland Church in Garland June 11. Roger McDonald, pastor of Horizon Fellowship Church in Summerville, Ga., and pastor emeritus of First Church in Garland, will be the guest speaker. Davis previously has served on the staffs of First Church in Garland, Fairview Church in Grand Prairie, and Park Cities and Wilshire churches in Dallas.

Deaths
___bluebull Rocky Freeman, 65, May 26 in Fort Worth. Freeman was a Bible professor, evangelist and counselor. He was an adjunct professor at Jacksonville Seminary and was a fellow at Trinity Seminary. For 35 years, he traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East as a Christian minister and teacher. He also devoted much of his life as a crisis counselor. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat; brother, David; and sister, Delores Cooper.

___bluebull Volunteer Christian Builders recently assisted with construction at Hutto Church in Hutto.
___bluebull Eagle Springs Church, between Moody and Oglesby, will celebrate the 142nd anniversary of its founding June 11. The church was founded in 1858, but disbanded in 1948. The church was reorganized in 1998. For more information, call (254) 776-8171. Marion Ford is pastor.
