Logdson accepted by ATS. Logsdon School of Theology at Hardin-Simmons University has been accepted into the membership of the Association of Theological Schools. The school anticipates becoming a candidate for full accreditation during the coming academic year.

Baylor gets $5 million. The Mayborn Foundation of Temple has committed $5 million to Baylor University's Museum Complex, which will be named the Sue and Frank Mayborn Natural Science and Cultural History Museum Complex. Baylor has received gifts of $14.1 million toward the total goal of $18.1 million. Construction is expected to begin next spring on the complex, which will include a discovery center, historic village, exhibition galleries, children's world, theater and several permanent collections.

McGilvray named registrar. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has named Amy McGilvray registrar, succeeding Ralph Montgomery, who retired. McGilvray has worked in the registrar's office since 1995.

Association affirms SBC. Henderson Baptist Association, meeting July 6 at First Baptist Church of Eustace, voted to affirm the Southern Baptist Convention's recent revision of the Baptist Faith & Message statement. "We are and will remain cooperating Southern Baptists," the motion concluded. The action was affirmed by 23 of 25 churches represented at the meeting, reported Casey Perry, associational moderator.

Baylor Medical ranks high. For the eighth consecutive year, Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas has ranked among the nation's top hospitals in the annual listing compiled by U.S. News & World Report. Baylor was listed among the nation's leading hospitals for dealing with digestive disorders; ear, nose and throat; gynecology; hormonal disorders; and respiratory disorders.
