___bluebull Five missionaries with ties to Texas have been appointed by the North American Mission Board. David and Sabrina Freeland will serve as missionaries in Norfolk, Va., where he is a church planter intern and pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. His previous ministerial experience includes terms as minister to married adults at Harvest Church inWatauga and evangelism intern at First Church in Euless. ___bluebull Oleta Browning after 35 years as senior adult coordinator and education secretary at Grace Temple Church in Dallas. She also served as church media library director for many years.
___bluebull Bill Gartner after 11 years as pastor of Big Bend Church in Terlingua.

___bluebull Southern Praise, a gospel group from Northlake Church in Garland, will be in concert at 6 p.m. July 30 at Cedar Heights Church in Cedar Hill. An offering will be taken. Nursery available.

___Deaths
___bluebull Manny Flores Jr., June 29 in Abilene. Flores was professor of economics and management emeritus for the Hardin-Simmons University School of Business. He served the university from 1980 until his retirement in 1990. He was the first director of graduate studies for the school of business.
___bluebull William Key, seven weeks old, July 12 in Nablus, Palestine. The son of missionaries Micah and Cara Key, he died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. His grandparents are Mike and Marsha Key, longtime missionaries to Togo, West Africa, and Bill and Deana Blackburn of Kerrville. William's older brother is 17 months old.
