___bluebull CBF sells land back to Mercer. The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is reselling seven acres of Atlanta property it bought five years ago from Mercer University, turning a $500,000 profit. The Atlanta-based Fellowship purchased the property adjacent to Mercer's satellite Atlanta campus for $1.25 million. The Fellowship, which leases office space from Mercer, bought the property both for an investment and to help the Macon-based Mercer raise money for its new McAfee School of Theology, located in Atlanta. Mercer officials recently approached CBF about buying back the land. The Fellowship's Coordinating Council approved the $1.75 million sale June 26.
___bluebull Seminary grad becomes millionaire. Kim Hunt, a 1989 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, has become the fifth million-dollar winner on the hit TV game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" Hunt, who now teaches high school math in Collierville, Tenn., said he intends to donate part of his winnings to a Fort Worth ministry. "When I was at Southwestern, I was a member of Hope Community, so I called Pastor Harold Bullock when I won the money to find out about some church planting projects I could help out," he said.
___bluebull Sallee to Jewell. David Sallee has been named president of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. Sallee, 48, has been vice president for enrollment management at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, since 1993. Previously, he held a variety of administrative and instructional roles at Oklahoma Baptist University.
___bluebull Revised BF&M available. Printed copies of the newly revised edition of the Baptist Faith & Message are now available from LifeWay Christian Resources. Tract-size copies are available for 20 cents each, a reduction in price from the previous edition, and may be ordered by calling LifeWay's Customer Service Center at (800) 458-2772.
___bluebull Baylor center gets Lilly grant. Baylor University's Center for Family and Community Ministries in the School of Social Work has received a $702,000 grant from the Lilly Endowment to study the impact of community service on faith congregations. The Baylor research will be led by Diana Garland, director of the Center for Family and Community Ministries and professor of social work.

New England Baptists offer a welcome service to Baptist students who will be enrolling at universities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. ___bluebull Rankin thanks Texans. Jerry Rankin, president of the SBC International Mission Board, has expressed appreciation to Texas Baptists for giving $15.5 million to last year's Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Texas Baptists gave 15 percent of the total offering and registered the largest percentage increase in giving of any state.
