___Events
___bluebull Annaville Church in Corpus Christi will honor Pastor Randy Thomas Aug. 6. In the year Thomas has been pastor, the church has added 157 members and baptized 68 people. The church also completed a 750-seat auditorium in November, and a family life center is nearing completion.

FERGUSON ROAD CHURCH in Dallas recently held a free community carnival to reach out to the transitional community surrounding the church. The carnival included carnival rides, pony rides, bounce houses and free food. Pastor Chris Campbell says the church's outreach efforts are bearing fruit--a few weeks ago families from South America, West Africa, Russia, Mexico and Romania were in the church's services. The church has also allowed a Romanian congregation to meet there, and about 70 are now attending.

___bluebull Skip McNeal will celebrate his 20th anniversary as pastor of First Church in Sanger Aug. 20. People wishing to contribute a page to the memory book may send it to P.O. Box 1700, Sanger 76266.

___bluebull C.E. Barnett after 50 years in the ministry. His most recent pastorate was Southside Church in Franklin.
___bluebull Raymond Bowlin July 30 after 50 years in the ministry and more than 32 years at Bushland Church in Bushland.
___bluebull Don Reavis as an employee of the International Mission Board July 31 after 30 years of service. He served 21 years in the board's personnel department and nine years in public relations. Earlier he was employed for six years as a campus minister for the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He and his wife, Barbara, will reside at 2251 Windmill Run, Wimberly 78676.
___bluebull Joan Feeler, minister to preschool at First Church in Denton, will be honored with a retirement reception Aug. 6 following the evening service.

___Deaths
___bluebull Loraine Ware, 81, July 17 in Denton. She was the wife of Russell Ware, former Bible teacher at the University of North Texas Baptist Student Union and North Texas pastor. A member of First Church in Denton, Mrs. Ware was actively involved in many Denton-area ministries, including at one time running a clothing ministry. She is survived by her husband; son, Paul; daughters, Patricia Borden and Peggy Stahl; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
