___ Latham Springs Encampment will be the site of the Senior Adult 60-plus Camp Sept. 25-28. Senior adults will join together for fellowship, recreation and refreshing times featuring a Southern Gospel quartet, a senior adult choir and the Singing Morgans. In addition, they will hear messages from pastors in the area. Registration begins at 2 p.m.

FIRST CHURCH IN GEORGETOWN sent a mission team to Acuna, Mexico for the eighth time this summer. Cliff O'Meara (left), a member of the church, was among the doctors, dentists, physical therapists, nurses and translators who served on the medical mission team that saw 600 patients in four days. Other ministries included a Vacation Bible School for 275 children, youth and adults; prayerwalking; a soccer tournament; puppet team; and a construction project. Twenty-two people prayed to receive Christ during the week.

___ Northway Church in Angleton will dedicate a new 17,000-square-foot Family Life Center and education building Sept. 17. The day will begin with a prayerwalk around the property. Speakers at the special morning service will include former pastors D.O. Foster and Robert Carter, as well as C.E. ___Deaths
___ Olive Riley, 96, Sept. 2, in Big Spring. He began preaching in West Texas prior to and while attending Wayland Baptist University in the 1930s. Most of the remainder of his ministry was spent in New Mexico. He moved to Big Spring in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Pauline; sister, Rosa Lea Montgomery; daughter, Katie Ramsey; sons, Murle, Aster, Bill, Don and Joe; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
