SWBTS begins degree with 47. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth has begun its new doctor of educational ministry degree this fall with 47 students. Intended for people in educational ministry, the program is designed to keep students up-to-date on how the field is changing and to equip them to minister in light of those changes.
___ Accompanists to meet. The National Symposium for Church Accompanists will be held in Fort Worth Nov. 11-14. Sponsored by Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Broadway Baptist Church and LifeWay Christian Resources, the event will offer skills training in transitions, modulations, transposition, improvisations and theory. Faculty include Al Travis, Elizabeth Hostetter, Stephen Nielson, C.L. Bass, Jerry Aultman, Cindy Berry and Michael Cox. Call (800) 254-2022.
___ New Orleans alumni to meet. Texas alumni of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary are invited to a breakfast at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Alcove Glass Pavilion in the Omni Bayfront Hotel in Corpus Christ.
