Women Reaching Texas event planned ___DALLAS--Women Reaching Texas will hold a Saturday conference prior to the 2001 Texas Evangelism Conference in San Antonio. ___The women's group normally holds a Tuesday luncheon during the evangelism meeting but will not this year, said Debra Hochgraber, women's evangelism consultant for the Baptist General Convention of Texas. ___In January 2000, Women Reaching Texas added a Saturday conference for women who could not attend the luncheon. It attracted 350 women. ___"It was so successful that we felt we should put all our efforts into a Saturday event," Hochgraber said. "Logistics created by the change of facilities were just too challenging to plan the Tuesday luncheon." ___Hochgraber expects 700 women to attend the 2001 meeting at Shearer Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio. It is designed for "any woman who is concerned about the brokenness in our world and how the Lord might touch that world through her," she said. ___The 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. conference will include one general session in English and one in Spanish, with Margarita Trevino as speaker. It also will feature 10 seminars in English, seven in Spanish and three in Korean. Contemporary Christian recording artist Pam Thum will give a lunchtime concert. ___Cost for the luncheon is $10.
