MacGorman Center dedicated.
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has dedicated and opened a new conference center named for J.W. MacGorman, a longtime New Testament professor who is now retired from the seminary. The $11 million conference center is a major component of the new Ralph M. Smith Leadership Development Complex. The building features 12 conference rooms, each capable of settings with theater-style or conference seating. With a total of 55,000 square feet of meeting space, the center can accommodate up to 1,250 people. MacGorman offered a prayer of dedication for the conference center, thanking his colleagues and family and God for the honor. Shown at the ribbon-cutting are Harold Riley, Ken Hemphill, Jack MacGorman, Fort Worth Mayor Ken Barr and Ralph Smith.
