Texas WMU meeting
___DALLAS--Woman's Missionary Union of Texas will focus on the theme "Both Ends of the Rope" during its annual meeting Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Dallas.
___The 1:30 p.m. meeting will be held at the Dallas Convention Center.
___In addition to conducting business, WMU participants will hear testimonies and messages from Melodye Pieniazek of Baptist Temple in San Antonio, Emily Row of the WMU staff, Shawna Ashlock of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Shawn Mooneyham of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Bill Tinsley, associate executive director of the BGCT.
___The program also includes reports from Texas WMU Executive Director Carolyn Porterfield and President Kathy Hillman.

Texas Baptist Men meeting
___DALLAS--Texas Baptist Men will focus on men being the presence of Christ in their world during their annual meeting Oct. 30 and board of directors meeting Oct. 29.
___The board of directors meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, and conclude at noon. The organization's annual convention will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, and conclude at 4:30 p.m.
___Both meetings will be held at the Dallas Convention Center and will feature business discussions related to policies, bylaws, buildings and finances. Both meetings also will feature presentation of annual ministry awards.
___The afternoon meeting will feature testimonies from several areas of ministry, including work in Kosovo, disaster relief, Serbia and renewal.
