Bivocational ministers honored
___BELTON--The 15th annual Texas Baptist Bivocational Ministers and Wives Conference, held recently at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, drew a record attendance of 325. The conference included 26 seminars for pastors, ministers of music, youth ministers and lay leaders.
___At an awards ceremony scheduled in conjunction with the conference, Dwayne and Bonnie Wheat from Berea Baptist Church in Big Spring were recognized as Exemplary Bivocational Pastor and Wife.
___Henry Goodson of College Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth was named Exemplary Bivocational Minister of Music, and Clay Wooton of Stephenville was honored as Exemplary Bivocational Youth Minister.
___Alline Slate, whose late husband, Claud Slate, was the founder of the Bivocational Ministers and Spouses Association, was granted a lifetime membership to the organization.
