BGCT trains Hispanic youth leaders ___Texas Baptist Hispanic teenagers converged on Mount Lebanon Baptist Encampment late this summer to build a network that camp organizers hope will spawn generations of future leaders. ___More than 500 youth from 15 organizations learned leadership skills and ministered to several neighborhood homes at the Hispanic Youth Camp. ___The camp was designed to develop leadership skills among Hispanic youth, said Julio Guarneri, pastor of Getsemani Baptist Church in Fort Worth. ___"I'd like to see youth that are encouraged to take on some leadership roles and be a witness of Christ in their schools," he said. "I do not want them to be satisfied with the status quo." ___Guarneri said he hoped this camp would help the students step up to the challenge of truly living a Christian lifestyle and begin a "new movement" of revival where they live. ___More than 300 students walked through neighborhoods surrounding Mission Arlington. They asked the residents in the neighborhoods for prayer requests and invited them to Bible studies. The students also participated in many recreational activities during their time at the camp, including swimming and sliding down a ripcord.
