___Older Russian children currently available for adoption through Buckner include:
___ Irena (11) and Lada (5). These sisters live in the Ulyanovsk region of Russia. They have lived in an orphanage for several years and have recently become available for international adoption. Buckner is in the process of gathering medical information on these siblings. Irena is shy and quiet and somewhat reserved when she first meets people, while Lada is more outgoing and enjoys playing games and singing. Both these girls desire to be adopted by a loving family.
___ Natasha (11) and Denis (9). Siblings Natasha and Denis were placed in an orphanage in December 1999 due to their mother's alcoholism. They hid in a neighbor's attic for awhile to try to live by themselves. Natasha loves to sing and often is the soloist in orphanage music programs. She has a great personality and is very passionate. Denis likes to play with other children and watch cartoons. He is quiet and somewhat shy. Both are intellectual, talented and do exceptionally well in their studies.
___ Alexander (6) and Aloysha (5). These brothers live in Orphanage No. 2 in St. Petersburg. They both are shy with others at first but warm up as they get to know people. They will benefit greatly from being adopted by a loving family who is ready to provide the structure and nurturing these boys need. They have been available for international adoption since April.
