___Events
___bluebull First Church in Allen will celebrate a dedication and homecoming weekend Dec. 1-2. The church will dedicate its new 1,500-seat worship center. Former Pastor Dick Senter will speak at the Saturday dedication. An open house will be held Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Chad Selph is pastor.
___bluebull First Church in Denison will present "The First Ever Christmas Extravaganza" at 6 p.m. Dec. 2. Jill Brown is music coordinator.

MINISTRY assistants Dee Eastwood and Risa Smith hold the ribbon as Lee Walker does the cutting during the dedication of the San Jacinto Association L. Lee Walker Mission Education Center Nov. 4. The 6,000-square-foot Baytown center includes administrative offices, a media and resource library, and space for training and fellowships.
___bluebull The Calvary Singers, a Southern Gospel singing group, will perform at Cedar Heights Church in Cedar Hill at 7 p.m. Dec. 7. A comedienne, Lulubell, will also share in the fun. The Paul Cherry Family will take part in the evening as well. The event is designed for all families and people of all ages. No admission will be charged, but an offering will be taken. ___ Deaths
___bluebull Paula Concilio, Sept. 6 in Waco. She and her husband, Robert, were missionaries in Pusan, Korea, for 11 years with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board.
___bluebull Paul Davis, 92, Sept. 26 in Houston. Davis was pastor of churches in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, including Memorial Church in Pasadena, Park Avenue Church in Corpus Christi, First Church in Bay City, First Church in Roanoke and First Church in Antioch. After his retirement, he was a member of Clear Lake Church in Houston. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Celestia; daughter, Wendelin Taylor; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

___Retiring
___bluebull B.W. Aston, as senior professor of history, director of the Rupert Richardson Research Center and director of the Abilene Photography Collection of Hardin-Simmons University, in December. Aston has been a member of the faculty for 35 years. Aston also has been dean of the College of Liberal Arts and head of HSU's history department. He and his wife, Lillie Mae, are members of Pioneer Drive Church in Abilene.
