Cuero quarterback carries faith by his side in game of life

___CUERO--Andrew Heard was coming back from a broken leg to a possible winning football season as quarterback when doctors found a large tunmor in his chest. He was diagnosed with lymphoma, and it changed his way of praying and living.

High Court won't hear prayer case

___WASHINGTON (ABP)--The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear a case challenging a mandatory "moment of silence" in public schools.
___By refusing the case without comment, the high court left standing a ruling by the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals that the Virginia law does not violate the separation of church and state.

Mohler says Jews worship different God

___LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Neither Muslims nor Jews worship the same God as Christians, according to Al Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
___"It is often said--in fact it is now routinely claimed--that Muslims worship the same God as the Jews and the Christians," Mohler said.
___But Christians do not serve the same God as that of Jews and Muslims, he insisted, because the Jews have rejected Christ and the Muslims have replaced the God of the Bible with Allah.
