THIS NATIVITY SCENE by Alfredo Rodriguez of San Antonio is on display in Washington, D.C., in an exhibit called "Joy to the World: Nativities from the James and Emilia Govan Collection." James Govan, who owns more than 300 creche sets, has lent about 40 of his sets for a special exhibit at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington. Full Story

Texan touts Christmas' top tunes

___BYNUM (RNS)--Ask Carol Doran, organist at Virginia Theological Seminary, about her favorite Christmas carol, and she doesn't hesitate.
___"Without question, 'Silent Night,'" she said. "Some people think it's not Christmas if you don't sing it."
___But following closely behind in second and third place, in Doran's book, are "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Joy to the World."

Mission Odessa wraps up Christmas joy for hundreds of kids and parents

___ODESSA--Santa came driving up to Mission Odessa recently in a sport utility vehicle.
___Not the real Santa, of course, but one of the many volunteers and contributors who help the West Texas ministry help others in need.
___This SUV was full of sleeping bags to be distributed through Mission Odessa's Christmas Store.
