Billy Graham crusade coming to North Texas in October

___Billy Graham is coming to North Texas for a crusade next fall, his first in the region in 30 years.
___Officials with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association announced the evangelist has accepted the invitation of a group of North Texas church leaders to hold a crusade at Texas Stadium in Irving Oct. 17-20.
___Graham's most recent Texas crusade was in 1997 in San Antonio, where 247,000 people heard his message and 23,000 made decisions for Christ.
___His last crusade in the Metroplex was in 1971, a 10-day crusade that was the inaugural event at Texas Stadium.

San Antonio church turns postal warehouse into place of worship

___SAN ANTONIO--The sign on the building may have read "closed for business," but a Texas congregation only saw an opening for the work of God.
___That building, which had been used by the United States Postal Service among other commercial entities, is now the home of Shearer Hills Baptist Church. The church renovated the entire building, turning former business offices to staff offices and an empty warehouse that once housed mail and computers into a worship center, nursery, hospitality center and gymnasium.

Texas natives use sports in evangelism

___JOHANNESBURG, South Africa--Kurt Holiday and his wife Janna Kay run into some unusual "delay of game" situations teaching baseball in South Africa, including baboons that have stolen rolling baseballs.
___Most South Africans never have heard of baseball, let alone watched a game. Despite the lack of knowledge, most schools welcome the Baptist coaching duo into their communities with open arms.
___The Holidays, who are natives of Waco and Houston, bring not only baseball with them but an important message about Jesus Christ.
