for involvement in New England
___bluebull Spread the news. Cornerstone Community Church needs volunteers to "work the neighborhoods" of Salem, Mass., said Pastor Bill Combs. The congregation of 20 to 25 people needs help in passing out literature. Volunteers also could help buy and distribute the "Jesus" video to residents. Even those who cannot travel to New England could help.

BILL COMBS
A church in Texas could print postcards with a message and addresses provided by Combs, then the helping congregation could put stamps on the cards before shipping them back to the Salem church to be mailed with a local postmark.
___bluebull See the world. Thousands of people from other countries--students, businesspeople, government representatives--make Boston their temporary home, and Baptists there need long-term volunteers to help them reach the internationals for Christ. About 25,000 international students attend 80 schools in the Boston area. Forty nations have consulates there; and countless businesspeople come to the city. Long-term volunteers could serve as airport chaplains, campus ministers, workers with businesspeople and medical chaplains. There is a special need for volunteers who are in their 50s or 60s and possess a servant mentality.
___bluebull Talk it up. Professionals with "secular credentials" are needed to lead seminars for unchurched, educated people in the Boston area. Missionary Alanna Davis is seeking high-profile leaders, such as chief executive officers of businesses, to speak at "Open Forum Lectures." The speakers will need to deal with their field of expertise, as well as provide a "reasoned, thoughtful presentation" of their Christian experience or of the "relevance of a Christian perspective on the lecture subject."___
___bluebull Pray as you go. Volunteers are needed to prayerwalk in Newton, Mass., to lead outreach and Bible study groups, to distribute evangelistic materials and to lead worship. Long-distance volunteers could help by designing and printing flyers, addressing and stamping mailers, providing computer services and praying.
