___Retiring
___bluebull Johnny Barrett as pastor of Caddo Church in Caddo. His address is 507 Avenue D, Graham 76450.
___bluebull Jerald Moore, March 11, after 10 years as pastor of First Church in Tow. During his 28 years of ministry, he also was pastor of First Church in Poolville, First Church in Mertzon, First Church in Llano and Eastside Church in Comanche.
___bluebull Burlie Taylor, March 25, after nine years as pastor of First Church in Pearsall. Taylor has been in the ministry 36 years. Previous pastorates include First Church in Lampasas, First Church in Cross Plains, New Hope Church in Boyd and two Alabama churches. He has been on the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and has served on several SBC committees and boards. ___bluebull Brad Cockrell, 10th, as minister to students at First Church in Denton.

___bluebull Clifton Igo, 50th in the ministry, March 31. A reception will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. that day, which also marks his 80th birthday. The reception will be held in the activity building of Second Church in Lamesa. Letters or cards are being accepted for a memory book and can be sent to 115 17th, Lamesa 79331. Igo was ordained at North Church in McKinney in 1951 after returning from service in the South Pacific in World War II. Igo served 13 churches in Texas and Colorado prior to his retirement in 1987. Since that time he has been an interim pastor to 12 churches. He has served on the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and was president of the Executive Board of the Colorado Baptist General Convention.

___bluebull A Bible conference will be held at First Church in Fairfield March 30-31. Speakers will be evangelist Bill Stafford and Harold O'Chester, pastor of Great Hills Church in Austin. Music will be led by the Randy Fair Family. The conference will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
___bluebull Utopia Church in Utopia will be the site of the dedication and unveiling of a Texas State Historical Marker March 31 at 2 p.m. The marker commemorates the organizing of Utopia Missionary Baptist Church on July 20, 1886. The church was re-named sometime during the 1920s. Included in the program will be Gene Kingsley, pastor from 1957-1960, after which he and his wife, Beverly, served as foreign missionaries. Retired minister and chaplain Joe Webb, son of former pastor Lonnie Webb, also will speak.

___Deaths
___bluebull Mildred Easterwood, 92, March 1 in Garland. She was the wife of Texas pastor James Easterwood for 35 years prior to his death in 1982. She also was preceded in death by a son, Gary. She is survived by her daughters, Sally Simmons and Peggy Boyd; son, James; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
___bluebull Kathy Loudat, 47, March 8 in Albuquerque, N.M. She was injured and left incapacitated in an automobile collision in 1991. Her husband, John, is editor of the Baptist New Mexican, the Baptist paper of that state. Prior to becoming editor, he was pastor of several Texas churches, including Allens Point Church in Honey Grove, Claytonville Church in Kress and South Seminole Church in Seminole, in addition to his service as pastor of First Church in Artesia, N.M. She began playing the piano for church while in high school and served churches as an instrumentalist, vocalist, children's and youth choir director, women's missions leader, Sunday School and discipleship teacher and church and associational Vacation Bible School director. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Mary and Joni; father, Jerry Mann; sister, Joyce Veillon; brother, Steve Mann; and grandmother, Robbie Mann.
___bluebull Bill King, 73, March 12 in San Antonio. King was a Christian educator and served churches in Abilene and Wilmer before joining the staff of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, where he helped churches throughout the state. After leaving the BGCT, King joined San Antonio Baptist Association, serving churches there for almost 25 years. After retiring from the association, he served on staff at First Church in San Antonio and First Church in Devine. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; sons, Ross and Kyle; four grandchildren; sister, Jerry Toland; and step-sister, Jacque Chavez.
