Around the state
___bluebull A fund has been set up to aid the family of Mike Hartgraves of Union Hill Church in Brownsboro. He has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He is in need of a bone marrow transplant which will cost approximately $400,000, and also blood and plasma donors. His treatment will not allow him to work for a long period of time. He and his wife, Penny, have two young daughters and a son. Blood and plasma donations may be made at the Stewart Blood Bank in Tyler. Monetary donations may be mailed to Mike Hartgraves Tragedy Fund, P.O. Box 266, Bullard 75757.

___Deaths
___bluebull Lena Magee, 93, Dec. 5 in Midland. She had been a pastor's wife, WMU president and Sunday School teacher in Texas Baptist churches. Her husband, Hugh Magee, was pastor of churches in Central and West Texas for more than 40 years. In retirement, they made their home in Brady. She is survived by her son, G.A. Magee.
___bluebull Don Lilly, 73, Feb. 1. Lilly was pastor of Oran Church in Graford. At First Church in Possum Kingdom, he began two Sunday School classes and served as Sunday School superintendent. He began his ministry as a pastor late in life at the age of 56. Oran Church was down to three women for its membership when he went to be the church's pastor, but at the time of his death had grown to 78 members. He was once nominated for rural church minister of the year in the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He is survived by his wife, Shyrl; sons, Gary Lilly and Richard Chappell; daughters, Sheila Hays and Jean Ann Bridges; and seven grandchildren.
