___bluebull Ellises fund Landry Center. Mr. and Mrs. Van Ellis of Dallas have donated $100,000 to Dallas Baptist University's Tom and Alicia Landry Welcome Center. They are members of Park Cities Baptist Church of Dallas. The Landry Center will become a focal point for visitors to the DBU campus in South Dallas.
___bluebull Aviators sought. When leaders of Texas Baptist Men talk about losing Baptist aviators, they don't have plane crashes in mind. They're thinking more about computer crashes.?The database containing information about members of the Texas Baptist Men Aviation Fellowship was lost during a recent computer system change, according to John LaNoue of Tyler, chairman of the Aviation Fellowship committee. The mission organization's staff is trying to rebuild that database, so LaNoue urges members of the fellowship--as well as other aviators who might wish to join for the first time--to contact the Texas Baptist Men office at (214) 828-5358.
___bluebull Hauerwas at Logsdon. Stanley Hauerwas, professor of theological ethics at Duke University, will deliver the inaugural T.B. Maston Lectures April 9-10 at the Logsdon School of Theology of Hardin-Simmons University. He will speak at 7 p.m. April 9 on "The American Way of Death; the Christian Way of Death," and at 10:30 a.m. April 10 on "The Christian Family and the American Family." The lectures are free and open to the public.
___bluebull DBU to present "Experiencing God." Dallas Baptist University's College of Fine Arts will present the musical "Experiencing God" March 29 at 2 p.m. and March 30 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The worship experience includes original songs and classic hymns, praise choruses and contemporary Christian songs interweaved by narration related to the best-selling "Experiencing God" discipleship book. Tickets are $3 and may be purchased by calling (214) 333-5285.
