___ Texas educators to aid series. Two Texas Baptists have been named to an advisory team to develop a new line of Sunday School curriculum for preschoolers and children at Smyth & Helwys publishers. Hazel Morris, associate professor of childhood education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Reby Lawler, minister of childhood education at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, are among the four team members. The new curriculum line is projected to debut in September 2002.

___ New e-letter targets youth ministers. The Baptist Center for Ethics will launch an e-newsletter at the end of March for individuals working with youth. ___ BJC names two staffers. The Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs has named Hollyn Hollman general counsel, succeeding Melissa Rogers, who left the BJC post in November. Hollman has been a litigation associate at the Washington, D.C., office of McGuireWoods. Jeff Huett, a 2000 journalism graduate of Baylor University, has been named associate director of communications.
___ FamilyNet has Easter specials. FamilyNet, a unit of the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board, has announced several broadcast specials during the Easter season. "He Chose the Nails with Max Lucado" will feature music from Kim Hill, Natalie Grant, Wes King, Twila Paris, Jeff Deyo and Oak Hills Choir, as well as a message from author Max Lucado. "Deniece Williams and Friends Easter and Mother's Day Special" will feature interviews with Marilyn McCoo, El Debarge, Candi Staton, Carlton Pearson, Fred Hammond and Johnny Mathis. "The Quest" presents the evidences for the death and resurrection of Jesus. "The Promise" is a musical drama performed in Glen Rose. Check local listings in late March and April for local broadcast times.
___ CBF names woman to No. 2 post. The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship elected a woman to its No. 2 staff position Feb. 22. Reba Sloan Cobb of Louisville, Ky., will serve as the organization's chief operating officer in a newly created position titled resource center coordinator. Cobb, 57, was elected without opposition by the CBF's Coordinating Council on the recommendation of a seven-member search committee. Since 1998, she has been executive director of the Kentuckiana Interfaith Community.
