Group opposes charitable choice

___"President Bush is trying to do the right thing," the statement acknowledges. "All of us should applaud his recognition of religion's vital and helpful role in addressing pressing social problems. But when it comes to his call for 'charitable choice,' we must say no."
___Among signers were Jimmy Allen, Patricia Ayres, Bill andDellanna O'Brien, Keith Parks and Foy Valentine.
