Hardin-Simmons' leadership changes

___Craig Turner, executive vice president and chief operating officer, will succeed Lanny Hall as president of Hardin-Simmons University June 1.
___The university's board of trustees unanimously approved Turner's selection in August 1999 for what they projected to be a "seamless transition" of leadership.

Two SBC leaders respond to report; no answers given to listed concerns

___Two Southern Baptist Convention leaders have criticized the report of the Baptist General Convention of Texas' Missions-sending Agencies Study Committee but have not provided answers to specific concerns cited by the Texas committee.
___Comments were released through Baptist Press May 16 from Bob Reccord, president of the North American Mission Board, and David Hankins, vice president for Cooperative Program at the SBC Executive Committee.

Christian wrestling event provides hard-hitting witness for the gospel

___SAN ANTONIO--Professional wrestling is a big deal on the south side of San Antonio, so Mayfield Park Baptist Church brought it to the neighborhood.
___A Christian Wrestling Federation rally at a local middle school gymnasium attracted more than 200 people Saturday, April 21. "We had between 15 and 20 people pray to accept Christ," said Brian Bockmon, minister of youth at Mayfield Park.
